BM2 Family History / genealogy website and club consortium

During the early 1990's a series of publications were produced for those interested in family history. This was in part done by a club that was a part of the New Atlantis group, but later became independent before eventually closing some time later. The publications and a lot of the other work done was by a publishing company, and it is the rights owned by the publishing company that forms the basis of this consortium. With over 10,500 people previously involved, this was an area that had a lot of interest, of course in recent years the amount of interest in family history or genealogy has increased many times over. It also incorporates income from a club and subscription website to utilize the large amount of data already held.

The concept of Joint Venture Consortiums is a part of a philosophy by a non profit organization called New Atlantis, it has no connection with politics or religion and exists to improve the quality or peoples lives. This concept is administered through New Atlantis International Services Corporation, who have issued the master franchise to Property Club International, who are the member organization for people  involved in becoming partners in consortiums, and represents people with interest in real, intellectual, internet and other property rights. Property Club International also have to approve all consortium opportunities before they can be offered. Throughout JVC, consortium and syndicate can be taken to mean the same.
